Charles, et al,
Well for some reason the %^&^%^*() thing just started working this evening! Huh
It's not like I am a novice in electronics, I have worked in electronics since I was 16 years old!
But I reconnected the connectors on the SL-USB for the 30th (or more) time and it started working. I never did like the RJ-45 connectors any way!
During my working days when I was troubleshooting problems (my main job) I always said that if you could not find the problem within a reasonable period of time, then it was probably something stupid like a broken wire or a bad connection!!!!!![/i] Hi! Embarrassed
Thanks for the help and advice!
Now I'll see you on digital.

Hi Charles,
I have been trying MMTTY, MMVARI, WinWarbler, and more.
I can copy RTTY on MMTTY, RTTY and PSK on MMVARI and PSK on
Winwarbler.
When I key using the transmit button on MMTTY the transmitter keys
but there is no output from the rig. When I key it the PTT light on the SL-USB
does not come on. I have double and triple checked the jumpers in the SL USB.
The Signal link USB is connected to the rear PKT port.
It seems to do the same no matter what setting it is on ... RTTY, PSK, etc.
This is the same problem I was having with my homebrew interface that I had used
years ago when  Itried it out recently. I thought a new interface would fix the problem.
I have the sound cards properly set in the computer.
I am about ready to make some one a good deal on the SL USB and go back to CW where I obviously belong. HI
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks, Tom K5IID
