Hi,
As a VE in my area we charge for the first test, if you pass you can keep going meaning if you pass tech you can go for general, if you pass you can go for Extra at no extra charge. If you fail the first time and want to try again, yes there is another fee but if you pass you can keep going again with no extra fees.
Congrats on getting your general!

Hi again!
Ok I have identified the antenna and already know what the tower is but it needs to be reroped, I just bought a used MA-770MDP 71' tubular tower from US Tower with power raise and lower but due to the location the lifting rope (wire rope) is very rusty and will need to be replaced I am familiar with this sort of thing but just thought I would see if anyone has had the pleasure to do one?
Thanks

Thanks all!
I managed to send a couple of photos to Force 12 and they sent me the manual, considering what I paid for the tower and antenna I got a great deal!
Have a great day all!

I recently purchased a powered monopole that came with an antenna, it has 6 elements 2 each on 10,15 and 20 the boom is in three sections there are no traps, the antenna is all riveted and only the 20m element is driven, one thing is the brackets to mount the elements to the boom are well made and are u shaped and also riveted to the boom. The elements are mounted in a plastic sleeve and then mount on the brackets. the boom is only around 12'. I do not know how to post photo's in this forum (some help?) but I can email some. Please some assistance.

Hi,
I have a power supply for that amp, the rf deck got destroyed and I got the PS it is the original Icom and is in good physical condition, I have never powered it because I do not have the rest and wishful thinking made me keep it but if you can use it make me a reasonable offer so I don't have to post it on eBay...

Hi All,
In regards to "what is a plankeye anyway?", read your bible, it may be a reference from Matthew and the sermon on the mount the reference can be found between chapters 6 and 10 I cannot remember the exact one right now.
So at least this fella may be a man (or woman) of faith and using this which would seem to be a good thing, However this person is still hiding and therefore retains troll/lurker status.

To Jim K4CAV,
Well spoken! If someone has not the courage or common courtesy to identify oneself then they are no better than the lids that refuse to identify.
plankeye, if you want respect do as others here that have a common goal, identify yourself and join in advancing our service/hobby, quit posting inane subjects and join in as an amateur not a lurker.
nuff said!

I vote for posting this miscreants call sign and identity, this is un acceptable and all amateurs need to know who this loser is so we can prevent him from doing this again.
Just because someone is halfway around the world is no reason to assume that one may take advantage of the situation, my advice to you is to get the postal service involved and any other law enforcement entity that will help prosecute this low life worm.
So again I vote to post at least I want to know who this shmuck is.

Hi,
By the sound of his reply it sounds like he is a deadbeat and a low life miscreant, post his call sign and name we need to be made aware of this POS (piece of sh_t) this is not how hams and humans for that matter are supposed to treat each other.
Wrong very wrong, looks like he meant to take advantage from the start, if there is any way I can help please feel free to drop me and email.
