First, measure the plate voltage at the junction of RFC2 & R? 10k/5watt (plate voltage), then screen voltage at pin 6, then filament voltage (AC) pin 2 & 7 on 6AG7 . Take measurements at "tune" and "operate". Report what you measure. HIGH VOLTAGES...BE CAREFULL!

Go to a sporting goods store (Cabella or Bass Pro Shop)or buy one online. They usually have 24 volt battery chargers for trolling motor batteries (fishing).

Sorry, but your wrong about it not working correctly. Motorola manufactured this amp class AB1. Look up the tube data. All I needed was to add a DPDT antenna switch and bypass the screen voltage switch (SCR). Amp. works great, with appox, 4 watts drive, rated at 600 watts continous! Great reports on the air!

Yes, they are available but rather expensive. You can make them yourself using the old lamp base, a 1/8 resistor and a small LED. I did this in my Dentron MLA2500 amp.

I am in need of a high voltage cable from a high power VHF Motorola PURC or Micor amp, cable part # 30-82903ho2, for an amp I am converting to SSB.
