Hi everyone.
I am interested in getting into RTTY. I can decode RTTY already with my Icom 7000 but I now want to get in to it. I have a RigBlaster pro which I use for MMSSTV and Echolink. My question is what is the best free ware RTTY program that I should look to download. I do not have HRD either.

Hi there,
I have just seen one of these advertised and I have not heard of this one before. As I am looking to hook my Icom 7000 up to a computer I was wondering if anyone has one of these units and could comment on how it works.
I have not hooked a radio up to a computer before so I am not too sure what exactly I need. I want to run the MMSSTV, RTTY and PSK31 type of programs and also a computer log eventually maybe like Ham Radio Deluxe.
Would this unit allow me to do this?
Appreciate any feedback.

eHam Forums / Computers And Software / Ham Radio Deluxe v Icom 7000 and Icom 751A

Hi everyone,
I have a Icom 7000 which I use as a base quite often but I also use an Icom 751A. Currently I use the old fashioned paper log as I do not have a log program at this stage but was thinking about getting the Ham Radio Deluxe software. Can anyone tell me if this is compatable with the Icom 751A as I would expect it to be ok with the 7000?
Thanks,

Hi there,
Thanks for your post to my question. I will have a look at the unit soon once the activities of Christmas etc is over. I would have thought that they would have made mention in the instruction manual of the type of bulb used... maybe that is just me? I must say though that this is the first thing that has happened to the rotator touch wood since I bought it all that time ago and if that is all that goes wrong with the unit then I will be a happy hammer!
Thank you for posting to my question.

Hi Lon,
I forgot to mention in my original post that I do have the manual and unfortunately it does not mention the bulb or at what voltage the bulb should be. I think I will take a sneak peek! Thank you for your comments.

Hi there,
This may not be of help but I thought I would add my two cents worth!
I have been running echolink for over a year now on dial up and I have only recently upgraded to broad band. What a difference that has made!
One thing I noticed was that now on broad band I could not connect to nodes which I could connect with before when I was on dial up. I kept getting "Time Out" messages etc. This frustrated me quite a bit as you could imagine.
Mind you I know nothing about computers but what it turned out to be was that I had to do "Port Forwarding" on my router. A friend in Bossier LA USA helped me with this task as it was that link in particular that was giving me the grief. Once I followed the instructions and did what I had to do in regards to the "Port Forwarding" echolink has worked without fault. I can connect up everywhere and I do not have any troubles at all. Something so simple. Of course now that I am running on broad band echolink is so much faster and I do not get any packet loss and I can have more than one person connect up at once Hi Hi.
Hope that my post is of some help.

Hi everyone,
I have a Kenpro 450XL antenna rotator and it has given me over 11 years worth of trouble free service, touch wood! However yesterday the lamp blew that illuminated the front panel. I am wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them and if you could tell me as to what type of bulb is required to replace the blown bulb and at what voltage. I have not taken the covers off yet.
