Hello friends:

I am Ruben EA5BZ.
Our DX group bought 4 Octobeams 2 months ago.
After a lot of import procedures and import taxes we received the 4
octobeams.
Material is very good quality, but after assembly and testing result is
really horrible. Interaction between elements is very high and the
antenna is ONLY usable in very high zone of 20 meters (with min 1.5 SWR)
and 17 meters (with 1.6 SWR). All other bands show very high swr.

We claim refund for the money and he didn't accept. He also removed the
refund policcy from his web site.
Before he removed the text from his website i made a capture.
If somebody wants read it i can send by email.
Now we have 4 NON-Working antennas and Bill (Norcal owner) doesn't
refund us the money and doesn't know how to solve the problem.
Please, be very careful with Norcal.

We would be very grateful if anybody in the USA could help us with the
claim to Norcal.

My email is: runahue (at) gmail.com

9  eHam Forums / Station Building / TS-590S or IC-756PRO3. on: December 07, 2010, 01:12:19 PM
Hello friends.
I need a second HF radio for my summer QTH.
I am thinking in a new TS-590S or a used IC-756PRO3.
What do you think is the best choice?
Scoope is not the most important for me.
Receiver performance is most important for me.
Thank's a lot for your help.
10  eHam Forums / Antennas and Towers and more / Diameter of radials in verticals on: September 12, 2010, 03:57:29 AM
Hello friends:
I have been reading and normally we use 18 awg (1mm diameter) radials in our radials systems.
My question is: Why?
And ... could we improve performance if we use higher diameters?

Thank's a lot.
