eHam Forums / Good Seller / Buyer Beware / RE: Anyone know Terry K9TLP

Terry states in his QRZ Bio that he has been an amateur radio operator since 2003. But, the FCC database indicates he was first licensed in as KI4AZW, Technician in July 2010, and received a Vanity Call K9TPL, with a No Code Extra upgrade at about the same time.......... Sounds a bit bogus to me.....Lee, K4LJP

If he shows his face at Dayton, there will be a line to clean his clock.
Dale W4OP
He has 4 spaces reserved in the Dayton FleaMarket. On the west side, check on space # FW 1520 thru FW1523.......Lee

eHam Forums / Good Seller / Buyer Beware / RE: Radio Mart Sales is a scammer

I am another ham who has notified Scott of received abuse from Martyn Allison, dba Radio Mart, after refusing to to accept his check for an item I had posted for sale. Scott's reply was that I probably had it coming. I also think his FeedBack Forum was a valuable service to amateur community that I really looked forward to. It kinda let the little guy vent about obvious scammers, like Martyn. I have sent yearly contributions (not really a lot, but probably more than most) to Scott for the use of his classified forum and services. I also had the pleasure of meeting and partying with him several years on the Thursday nights before the opening of the Dayton Hamvention, at the Hooters party sponsored by ARRAY Solutions. As long as he chooses to ignore the overwhelming horror stories from hams ripped off by K4TEC, I will not be financially supporting him any more. If a lot of "little guys" like myself also start withholding their voluntary contributions for Scott's services, maybe he will "do the math" and determine if standing up for a thief is more profitable..........de Lee, K4LJP

I was also contacted by this person several times insisting she had the very rare antenna controller I have been seeking. She insisted that she had it in like new condition. I asked for photos of the actual unit she was selling and her very best price. I haven't heard from KC7AVS since. ......de Lee, K4LJP

Great deal from K7ZS, Package took a beating (FedEX) and was delayed several days. But due to Kevin's great packing unit survived. I would deal with this honest ham anytime ......Thanks

Buyer Beware; He is always listing really rough looking gear with really bad pictures. Much of it is modified (butchered) CB junk. Some of his CB stuff listed on QRZ right now with his usual bad pictures.....Lee

Do not waste your time with this technician class tirekicker. We have exchanged nearly twenty E-mails concerning his purchase of my vintage Collins KWM-2. I sent him 10 high resolution photos, four different times, and answered all of his questions promptly and honestly. The end result was his lame excuse of 'only using MasterCard or PayPal for his Ham Radio purchases'. My original ad, which he replied to, still here on E-Ham, clearly states " NO PAYPAL, USPS Money Orders only, personal checks accepted"....... I still can't figure out folks like this............Lee, K4LJP

Buyer Beware; If you are posting items on "Wanted To Buy" forums, this guy is responding that he has it available and wants payment via Moneygrams or Western Union. I have asked for pix, he responds about the great condition and wants my address so he can get it right out. He has no call, but his E-mail Addy is; JERRYMIKE@yahoo.com .. I hope this notice will help someone.....de Lee, K4LJP, 73
