I called yesterday about a PG5G data cable for a Kenwood  radio and was told they had them in stock.
So I told them I would be in today to pick one up.
When I stopped in they said they was out of stock.
So after being mislead yet again I wont be dealing with them again.
R&L I will deal with you from now on.
R&L is always friendly an honest.
4  eHam Forums / Digital / RE: New to digital on: April 11, 2011, 08:49:05 PM
I am using the SLUSB6PM(signalink sl1+)
The software I have tried is winPSKse.
and fldigi,mixw,digipan.
No joy with any of them.
I have clicked on the signal shown in the waterfall and all I get is crap(ie axo37nuerpozy1nyw)
and the signalink will not key the ft857d.
I have even checked all the cables pin for pin and made sure they have contact from one end to the other.
still no joy.
I am going to call tigertronics tomorrow and see if they have any ideas.
I followed the audio setup and the test with no luck.
I ordered the 6 pin mini din plug and play module when i orderedx the signalink sl1+ and installed it as shown on the jumper board.
I am at a loss as to what I might be doing wrong or what might be wrong with the signalink.
I also set menue#38 as it says to do but still no joy.
Any other Ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Are you running a yaesu ft 857d by chance?

I am new to digital.
I just got my signalink today.
Ordered the jumper board  with the unit and 6pin mini cable.
I have set menue 38 according to the info to psk31u.
I can see signal in the water fall but the software is not decoding  anything.
Also the signalink will not key the radio.
If anyone lives around zip code 43748 that can help me with this
Please let me know.
I would like a local person because then they can see the setup instead of guessing.
Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the response.
I thought I could shorten it but was not sure so I asked the question.
One never knows the answer till they ask a question.

Thanks again.
9  eHam Forums / Elmers / how much coax do I need on: August 13, 2010, 07:53:40 PM
I have a 2/70 antenna on my motorcycle.
Right now the coax is about 17' long.
I would like to make it shorter so I don't have
That much coax on the bike.
So I would like to know if I can shorten the coax to 3 feet?
And if that would cause any issues with the SWR?
I am using a Yaesu FTM10R for the rig with a SBB7 for the antenna.
I have about 201/8 inches of metal under the antenna.

N0OKS.
"Don't just ask. Try to find the answer yourself. Google! http://docs.commscope.com/Public/F660BVV-BW.pdf "

It is real nice to see that you assume that I just ask questions with out trying to find the information myself.

Thank you for the the double check to see if I knew about Google.

I do and use it first before I ask questions unlike some or most questions that you see here.

I did read the PDF file before i asked my question but it did not show if anyone had ever used this type of coax for antennas.

But that is ok I will just try and see what comes from my efforts.
