1  eHam Forums / Elmers / QSL Address Label Problem on: December 06, 2005, 11:39:36 AM
I have about 450 QSOs that need qsl cards sent. In as much that will use BV6 Label Program to generate the QSO info labels.....I need a little help.

Help me organize the thinking process of getting these qsl card out.
1. Use my HRD logger (and/or in bv6 also) & mark all received cards.
2. Generate all DX labels via bv6 and sent to ARRL buro.
3. Generate all FISTS labels via bv6 and send to FIST buro.
4. THEN THE QSOs THAT ARE LEFT ARE DIRECT MAILING THAT NEED
ADDRESS LABEL TO BE GENERATED.

question?
WHICH IS THE BEST WAY TO GENERATE ADDRESS LABELS?
I have the data for addresses in HRD, but HRD has not
print program in it.

DO I need to get another software program simply to
generate the address labels in a timely manner because
I HAVE SO MANY ADDRESS LABELS TO GENERATE FOR DIRECT
MAILING?

IF YOU KNOW HOW TO WORK THROUGH MY situation please help!!

WHICH PROGRAM IS THE BEST TO LOAD MY LOGGER DATA INTO TO GENERATE ALL OF THESE ADDRESS LABELS FOR DIRECT MAILING AT ONE TIME.

What is the best software to assist me in studying for the Amateur Extra License?
3  eHam Forums / Elmers / QSL Management Question on: February 12, 2005, 02:26:49 PM
I have been a ham for 22 years, although I was off the air for ten
years. I have been back on the long enough to want to start qsling
again.

I am using the Ham Radio Deluxe software. I am have aboout 250 QSOs
that I need to qsl. I am about to order some qsl cards, but I need
to know what specific support program to interface with, as well, as
how to interface HRD to that software that can print envelopes, and
print the qsl labels to affix to my cards.

How do you manage the data to tell which QSOs have been sent and
recieved in HRD and the supporting software?

If I could use a label to print to qsl information, I could affix the
label to the qsl card. Further more I could design the card for a
particular label to be affixed.

Please help me work through this issue.

5  eHam Forums / Computers And Software / Where is QRZ.com? on: August 14, 2004, 05:10:18 PM
This sounds silly, but I can't get the qrz.com website to load on my Internet Explorer.  I can't lookup my DX call for my logger? Is QRZ down for repairs??

6  eHam Forums / Elmers / Which HF Vertical? on: April 15, 2004, 09:29:44 PM
I need help deciding which vertical to buy.  I usually work about 90% plus CW with an Icon 730. My location dictated a low profile antenna. I have looked at the Cushcraft and GAP verticals, as well as a few others, but I need and Elmer or two to set me in the right direction as to which vertical antenna will be the best regardless of manufacturer.

7  eHam Forums / Elmers / G5RV and MFJ 949e Problems on: November 21, 2003, 03:10:18 PM
I have a G5RV up 35ft. in an inverted vee at a 75 degree angle. The RG213 coax is connected to an MFJ 494e tuner. The ladder line is at a 75 degree angle with the ground. I can only get the SWR down to 2.5 to 1 on 20 meters, but all other frequencies are too far off to transmit. Help?

8  eHam Forums / Elmers / my ICOM 730 needs a CW filter on: November 18, 2003, 11:36:35 PM
I spend 97% of my on the air time on CW.  Yea!!!
I have an ICOM 730 that DOES NOT have a cw filter.  I have had either trouble finding a FL-45 at a reasonable price($55.00) rather than $236.00, or I have had no luck at all.

Is there a replacement cw filter that I can use (as a plug or no) rather than the FL-45? If so, were can I get one!!!

10  eHam Forums / CW / CW Adapter on: May 27, 2003, 10:47:47 AM
I am a teacher at F.M. Gilbert Elementary School in Irving, Texas. I am attempting to set up a rig at school for CW with a Radio Shack THX-10,10 meter rig. I would like to find a "Altoid" tin CW adapter to be able to use the rig with CW.We would be very appreciative if we could purchase a CW adapter.   73s
