Folks, 11k range R4B, 16k range T4XC,  lacking knowledge, any advice before attempting to marry up?  R4B arrived sat, finding Q tip with Kano Labs Kroil slowly dissolving a little rust in the few spots, soak and rub with q tip.  2x a day till no longer rusty film on q tip.  missing shorting plug for mute also.  e-mail kendwell@netscape.com

Thanks, folks. that's info on the Yaesu I didn't have. Don't know what the astatic was wired for, just that it was in some mixed, mostly much older stuff.  At least, have directions to help figure it out.

Do Yaesu 901dm and Drake TR7 microphones interchange? (have tr7, not yet set up is antenna and ground, some misc stuff including Astatic 104 from local sk) 

This winter, would like to learn CW.  hands are now marginal typing capacity, ears long term moderate loss, @2k worst at 60db.
rt thumb no longer in line (90degrees to palm)    suggestions on key type, and esp., CW instruction method/course.

I was highly impressed with the Ham Test On Line interactive course:  a similar course combining both audio and visual (flashing light) would seem to be a solution.  Blind can work CW audio, deaf could work CW visual?
