If you want to get on HF and not learn code buy a CB. Yeah Im a no code tech and I dont realy want to learn morse (I've been trying to learn it off and on for 13 years and still have'nt been able to master it)but I want to get on HF and the only way to do that is to learn the code. so kwitcherbitchin wipe that tear from your cheek change your diaper and learn the code.

Well Brian I wouldnt advise that unless you installed some device to keep RF from going back to the AM/FM radio in the car. If you don't as soon as you key up you will fry the cars radio. And as for a device to stop the the RF from going back to the AM/FM, I've never heard of such a device but somebody probably makes one. I'm sure your not the first one with that idea.

I used to monitor cell phone conversations with an old tv (the old old ones that go up to channel 89 or something) but this was over ten years ago and I dont think that will work anymore but you can try. I have a scanner and I love it. I listen to ten meters with it as well as the police. It is amazing how much news you can hear before it is even news. Its also funny to listen to your friends get pulled over for a speeding ticket or something.
