1  eHam Forums / Misc / Icom and Yaesu Frequency Difference on: April 20, 2012, 09:48:21 AM
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but its my first time
I have just noticed that My Yaesu FT817nd and my Icom Ic746 differ in frequency by 600Hz
I have just set up for 2m ssb and when I hear someone calling cq on the calling channel (144.300mhz )using an Icom rig, I tune them in on 144.300mhz on my IC746 but have to tune to 144.299.40Mhz on the FT817. If I hear somone calling on a Yaesu rig I have to tune the IC746 to 144.300.60Mhz But the FT817 tunes them correctly at 144.300Mhz I know this is nothing to worry about but just wanted to know if anyone else has noticed this? and why are they 600hz apart?
Regards
Geoff (G4LIM)
