If you like the operation of your R7, you might consider the Drake TR7.  They can be connected for transceive operation.  I have this setup and enjoy it.

I believe the 210 tunes 350Khz (from 3.7-4.0 Mhz) and the 210X tunes 500Khz (3.5-4.0 Mhz).  It appears that you have a 210 (not X).  The bandswitch on my 210X says 3.5 instead of 3.7.
