Has anybody had any experiance with a D-104 and a FT-1000D. Is the Yaesu FT-1000D a old enough design that it can adapt to the D-104 without any specail radio or mic mods? Any help would be great.

I have a FT-1000d with the latest Rom version. However I get conflicting reports on it model date.
The SN starts with 0I0. Is this a 1990 or 2000 model. Any help would be appreciated.
6  eHam Forums / Good Seller / Buyer Beware / N9HPC BEWARE! Not a good seller on: July 02, 2004, 08:48:29 PM
I purchased a FT-1000D (upgraded FT-1000) from him. He stated in his
description that it was the 2000 version and sent back to Yaesu in 2001
for final upgrades. Per the sn and Yaesu it is a 1990 model. I wrote him about it and he refuses to do anything to make it right. He also told me about some scratches only on the side of the case. They were there but also on top
and side of the bezel. I feel he played with the wording and knowing deceived me. BEWARE
Before I bought it I stated to him I would take it if the following conditions were true.
A. It was a 2000 model
B. The scratches were only on the side of the case.(They were all over)
c. It be delivered by Today.
The only thing that became true was that it was delivered today. He is a scammer if you ask me and I recommend
not buying from this person.

I am getting ready to study for my license. My question is. Do I have to get a Tech Lic first or can I jump directly into General Class?

I am considering one or the other any suggestions
or opinions would be help. Before it causes any feedback, I choose not to give my call sign over the internet. Thanks to all in advance.
11  eHam Forums / Elmers / Transmit and Receive on: September 07, 2003, 09:46:47 PM
I want to thank ED. I understand why hams are not wanting to help cb radio operators run ham radios. However being a Ham myself and holding the license I worked so hard to get I have choosen to only use my call sign when operating my radio. Not on the internet. Ed thankyou.
I am also disapointed that only two replys were willing to help and everybody else wanted to question me and badger each other. Thats not what I thought licensed ham operators were all about.
Again I understand and beleive cb ers should stay on cbs. However knowing a few cb operators i have to say that us ham radio operators give them undo grief sometimes. The ones I know are just to poor to buy and operate ham gear and therefore do not need a license and that doesnt make them any lower  in regard to their love of the radio. Atleast the ones I know do not question and badger each other the way I have seen displayed on this forum. Thanks to those that helped and to the other, grow up  and quit thinking you are so much better than every body else.
