5  eHam Forums / Mods And Repairs / Trio/Kenwood 2300 FM 2 meter Rig Power Mod. on: April 06, 2001, 03:30:05 PM
I have a Trio/Kenwood 2300 2 Meter FM portable rig made about 1983, it is 1 watt RF output from its 2SC2329 output transistor.
Apparently a few years ago there was a mod. you could do to raise the power output to about 2 1/2 watts, I believe that this was just a change of the output transistor.
I wonder if anyone out there has heard of this mod. and could tell me which PA transistor I need to obtain for the mod .
Many thanks   John   M5JVW
