eHam Forums / Misc / How Many Hams on Your Street?

Back in the old days I lived next to a ham that our beams just about touched each other when they rotated they were so close, never mind about the wire antennas. Luckly he operated a different band, but occasionally he would wonder on the same band as I and all heck would break loose. We finally started talking on the phone prior to operating. I moved finally, but I miss those days. I live in an antenna restricted development and spend most of my days now inventing or using antennas that look like bird feeders or flag masts (hi). I sure miss the days of living next to a ham with our 40 foor towers.....

Fox Fox Uniform sounds great! even sounds better on CW. You will get used to it beleive it or not. I felt the same way when I was first licensed as WN5UEP. I couldn't stand it. But after almost 30 years, I wouldn't change it now. Don't sweat the small things and enjoy a wonderful hobby. Congrats!

Sounds cool! When I see your call, I will be looking for you on the bands. Gud luck and good hamming!
So much for my first radio, I had an ICO-720 transmitter with a manual transmit switch and a Radio Shack short wave receiver. I could hear the entire novice portion of 40 meters at once the receiver was so wide...but I sure can pick 'em out in cw pileups now though (Hi)

If there is a way that I can get a copy of the manual for the HD-150 Dip Meter it would be great. I would pay any postage involved. Thanks
