Strange as it seems the occasional or at least part of and truthfull RST does get through even though not needed for a short 10-15 min. exchange of basic info or a 20 min to an hour long rag chew in all kinds of up/down conditions.Yet QSLs are exchanged and accepted by the variuos award entities.

The "cheating" syndrome seems to be a common thread among QRP operators. For me every time I occasionally fire up my IC-7200 or Johnson Adventurer to see if they still work at QRP levels,I get that cheating feeling just knowing that extra wattage is available.Weird aint it?

This should be interesting.Until now I always thought D-Star meant Death Star in one of the old Star War movies I saw years ago.

Re:GILGSN
You hit the nail on the head with PORTABLE definitions. There IS a big difference between back packing or canoeing my MFJ Cubs into the wilderness and using my fragile K1 from my back yard patio table or the picnic table at the local parks but no noticeable difference between amount of contacts between the 2 1/2 and 5 watts of the two.

I've got an idea, how about a good seperate receiver and a nice seperate homebrew xtmr.?Maybe someone could design a special switch so you could use both on the same antenna,I heard a few hams use to operate with this type of set up a few years back.

Sorry guys I just increased my price to $350.00 plus shipping and handling.I was just informed by a knowledgeable collector that this box could be worth thousands to a person able to restore it to its original use and not just buy it for display purposes.I intended to display it myself, but since my XYL is French/Canadian all available flat surfaces and window shelves in the house is already spoken for.

Re:KD2CJJ
Reading an ARRL book=Self knowledge/education written mostly by acknowledged professional or technical experts in their fields.Recommending such to a poster will result in factual knowledge other than just assorted opinions.
Google for information=A world of information out there similar to reading books, obviously you know this but apparently have not spent much time reading books.
Search on Forums=Same popular questions previously addressed, saves time and usually a poster's answere to a question can be found . If your definitions of any suggestions of the above make"most on here old trolls" I suggest you change bait and do your trolling in another fishing spot.
