Is it possible to connect an Icom IC551D to an Icom PW1 amplifier ?

The IC551D is a 6 meter radio.

If it is how should it be connected.  Thanks.

If the 551d provides +8v on tx and this is incompatible with the PW1, then it won't work.   Will it ?

Certainly, though the two are interconnected, the PW1 is not enabled on tx from the 551d.   Like the transmit light
on the PW1 does not switch on.

Anyone know if the IC 551D can be connected to
the Icom PW1.  If it can, any links to the info
would be appreciated.

Please tell me the calculation required to construct an inverted vee for 75/80 mtrs.

If my memory serves me well, 468/freq in mc's give the answer in feet for a dipole, but seem to recall that the invert v requires a diffeent calculation.

It looks like my 775dsp is not sending any data out to the CIV jack on the back of the radio.

Does anyone know what type of signal should appear at the output, for example, could I obtain a reading if I used a DVM or a multimeter to indicate simply go/no go?

All other cables, radio set ups, computer com ports and so on settings have been checked out.

The Icom CI-17 has had the MAX232 chip replaced as well as the voltage regulator. There appear to be no solder bridges nor dry joints on the repair.

For the terminal Program, I use YPLOG and also Ham Radio Delux.  HRD reports "IC775DSP, Com 1,1200 Baud, Failed to read frequency", it does the same for Com 2 as well.
