1  eHam Forums / Amplifiers / RE: QRO and Pacemakers on: August 10, 2012, 06:23:44 AM
I think you will be fine. I have had several patients who have been treated in the chest area that have pacemakers  with 15 megavoltage x-rays. We used to monitor them but,not anymore since there was never a problem.
2  eHam Forums / Amplifiers / RE: SWR changing dramatically when using Amplifier on: April 27, 2011, 08:53:31 AM
Got your attention didn't I?

Sorry OM, but the bands are full of folks who feel exactly like you do...

That's why there is so much QRM: Guys with no consideration loading up on an active ham band testing, testing, and testing. With absolutely no consideration for the other occupants of the band(s).

If it takes being brusque, pedantic or whatever to get your attention it's worth it. I'd much rather contaminate the forum than have to listen to your QRM on the bands.

If you act like a self-centered five year old, expect to be treated like one. Tuning an amp on the antenna, with no regard for others is exactly like a child.

I'm glad that you recognize how you looked. Hopefully you will rectify your activities and act like an adult.

One last thing: on the internet you get both ends of the spectrum; some guys go out of their way to be nice, some go out of their way to be obnoxious. I don't usually fall on either end, but if the truth hurts... so be it. ...And the truth here is that your actions, as related to the forum at large, displayed an appalling lack of consideration for your fellow hams.

Trust me, I've been through this trial by fire also and the folks on the internet were no more forgiving to me than I was to you. It's part and parcel of asking questions here. You must expect that the respondents will grill you unmercifully and you should be prepared for criticism.

If you have not learned that by now... I did not say anything that was not the truth pure and simple.

73.. Maybe you should grow a thicker skin?
You sir, need an attitude adjustment.

What's strange about it? It sounds like a typical RF Harris commercial HF transmitter. The Coast Guard uses a bunch of them, as do the commercial short wave broadcasters.

Well, its not being sold to the coast guard unless a guy named Wizard has them as a customer.
