Thanks so much for the quick response,

Hello I am looking for an inexpensive HF amplifier that will put out 350-1500 watts. I am willing to consider anything but please don't reccommend very expensive amplifers. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello from K2CLH! I am currently nine years old and I was seven when I passed my General. I passed my Technichian at age six. Don't know if this helps, but good luck finding the youngest! Hope to get you on HF!

73 and good DX!

From QRZ I am getting a lot of responses saying TS-570S and S(G). Any feedback on either of those? Thanks for the feedback!
7  eHam Forums / Misc / TS-570S vs. TS-570S(G) on: October 22, 2011, 09:06:24 AM
Hello from K2CLH! I have asked in another forum what would be a good base station for $700-$1100 and I had a few people come back saying TS-480SAT or more commonly TS-570S or also common TS-570S(G). I know what the features of the TS-480SAT but I was wondering what the difference between the S(G) version and the straight S version? Any feedback would be appreciated.

73 thanks,
K2CLH

To answer your question, legally we can put up a 120' tower with a gigantic beam on it but we have good relationships with the neighbors and we want to keep it that way! I might be able to sneak a 4BTV but mostly dipoles in our roof.

Hello from K2CLH! I have a total opinion question. I am wanting to get a base station 6m/HF radio. I will give you a list of criteria for what I want. 1.Base Station 2.100-200w 3. $1200 and below 4. Built-in Antenna Tuner(not as important as the others) So far I have found the Kenwood TS-480SAT to be my best option but I am happy to hear about others! Thanks and 73!

Thanks for all the feedback. I am currently on the plan of putting a dipole sort of thing in my attic
because I have been thinking about it and any vertical will not be popular with the neighbors. 73 and keep the feedback coming!

I know how and have built my own antennas! I built a 20m inverted V and used and antenna analyzer and got a 1.2:1 all the way across the band(not always what you want because it won't be very efficient). I am looking to put up a multiband vertical(If you look at QRZ I am doing this at my main house). We have resrictions on what we can put up(more in curtisy to the neighbors than anything. We don't want to put up a ton of mono band verticals(trust me I spent quite a while making helical antennas for 10/15/20/40 meters and not being able to put them up). Thanks for the feedback and if you have any other ideas that would be great!

Thanks for the idea! I have also talked to T32C! I am looking for only one antenna but I will have to look into that antenna. If you have any other suggestions I would be thrilled!
Thanks

Hello from K2CLH! I an nine years old and excited to get into HF. I home built a 20m inverted V but I am wanting a small vertical because our neighborhood doesn't allow things sticking up above the level of our roof. I could mount it on the back side of our house which would make a bigger antenna more manageable. Still I could only put up a 10-15ft. tall vertical. I am also thinking in the price range of $70-$160. Any feedback would be much appreciated!

If I wanted a high performance base station $10,000 or less size does not matter but I want it to have a nice display and filters in it if possible it should run on wall power and not a power supply.
Thanks,
K2CLH
