Hi all,

I have managed to download a free service manual from Kenwood Italia site, a service manual that describes the various faults, fault findind and servicing procedure to many early synthetised  rigs like the TS440, TS940, TS940, TS50 TS117 etc. I has now been enhanched and can be downloaded from here :

http://jvgavila.com/man_ham/rtx/rtx_manual_index.htm

God Bless, enjoy and may God help you pin point any faults !

82  eHam Forums / Boat Anchors / update on free Kenwood RTX Manual on: June 23, 2010, 06:25:58 AM
Hi all,

You may download a High resolution version (but some pages missing )
here:

http://jvgavila.com/man_ham/rtx/rtx_manual.htm

You may also want to download a free software (no spyware or viruses)
to enhance a photo or document here:

www.paint.net

In future I will try to to organise a higher resolution version.

God Bless All

84  eHam Forums / Boat Anchors / Free Kenwood RTX Manual ! on: June 20, 2010, 06:46:10 AM
Hi all,

Way back in 1997, I managed to download a free handbook, from Kenwood in Italy, called Kenwood RTX Manual. It has a goldmine of fault finding information about many of the first Kenwood syntetised radios like TS850, TS440 TS940 etc, with some pages missing. Still worth it.
Anyone wants a copy, kindly email me :     malti at inbox  dot com      The pdf file is some 6Mbs long. GOD BLESS ALL
85  eHam Forums / Elmers / Help Please on: May 29, 2010, 02:13:59 AM
Hi,

I need to buy two Mini-Circuits type  PSC-2-1 power splitters.
The cheapest I could get from the States is here:

http://www.alltronics.com/cgi-bin/item/PSC_2_1/search/Mini-Circuits-PSC-2-1

But they are claiming $30 for postage, which is ridiculous. I have received complete kits   from the States  to  Malta with postage ranging from $3.90 to $12.

I am looking for a kind heart from the States, who can order it for me.

Thanks
Paul

86  eHam Forums / HomeBrew / LCD display on: May 20, 2010, 12:32:16 AM
Hi all,
I want to buy an LCD type 08LCD9, also known as LCM1602A driven by an HD44780 controller 16x2 with backlight  for a PIC16F877A.
This is available only from www.ElectronixExpress.com. Apart from the high postage cost for export, they have a minimum order. So unable buy. There must be lots of equivalents out there- anyone cares to name some ?

88  eHam Forums / Computers And Software / Beware of Ebay on: May 18, 2010, 06:25:51 AM
Beware: There is a seller, on ebay,  called SmileNtango, selling RAMs for PC, and they send defective parts, intentionally, so you will send it back, without refund, with the excuse that they have never received it back, all with the blessing of Ebay and Paypal !  They keep on doing this to others, all over the world, making money on defective, useless parts. What a clever way to do buisness with a little help from Ebay & Paypal !!!!!

I want to use the AD8307 as an audio millivoltmeter. Any one has any suggestion as to the input configuration, apart from the one shown on the data sheet ?
