I am currently using my Ameritron 811 with my IC-7600, using the relay cable to activate the amp. Can I use this same amp with my Kenwood rig. i.e. using a splitter in the rear of the amp and using two separate relay cables. Obviously not at the same time.

I have a MFJ-267 dummy load / wattmeter, when it is in the dummy load position and power is sent the reflected power needle move to the far left limit. This seems to me to be wrong there should be no movement? but then again I'm asking the Elmers. It is installed after the amp and tuner ( last in line before the antenna).
Thanks for any help.

Is it possible for the amp to produce power on 20M but not on 15M. This is what seems to be happening.

I have HRD logging my IC-7600 and want to log on my TS-590 also. I can't seem to find a menu to add a radio. It is possible to run 2 rigs, HRD is V5 latest install.
Thanks for any help, W1KRK

When tuning G5RV into my MFJ-267 set at dummy load the SWR can be set properly. When I put the dummy load back into antenna mode the SWR is not even close to the original setting. IC-7600 into AL811 amp (OFF) to Palstar AT1KP tuner......Thanks

Just put up my ( W8AMZ ) G5RV, I need some help on the correct coax. I will need 200' and some of it will be buried. Was looking at the Cable X Perts stuff and not so sure what one to use. Have used LMR 400 on my beam but it is not buried. Will probably be using the G5RV on 40 & 80 mostly....Thanks

eHam Forums / Elmers / HAM IV Rotator Calibration
|
on: March 20, 2011, 05:58:17 AM

|
Recently installed a new Ham IV, there is a switch on the rear panel of the control box and no mention in the set up of it's function. The manual instructions are not very clear on calibration. I can't seem to get my beam to point in the same direction as indicated. Do I have to actually have move the antenna on the mast to 180 deg ccw rotation before I can get this right? Thanks for any advise.
