I've ordered cables from ARS, I've always gotten my stuff, albeit a couple-three weeks after ordering. Every time it's the same thing, some sort of random delay. I have to believe that it's some guy running a business out of his garage whose inventory is "just-in-time". IOW, he doesn't keep inventory on hand. If you wanna do business with ARS, be patient, and cool your jets until he finally gets your stuff in. If you're not the patient type, avoid ARS.
Same end result here. All I wanted was 50' of coax! Won't do it again. 11 days to just ship it? Come on.... Oh, and no return phone calls either.

Maybe they should be the dying breed, and no, I'm no salesman--and I don't want to be. All too many of them are money grubbing SOBs that would jyp their own mothers.
I rather have my fun by arguing over conditions or discussing contacts made rather than arguing over ten or twenty dollars. It seems that the only thing I agree with you on is that the pricing on the internet can't actually show you what the radio is like. Also, I do state that I will not negotiate--by saying $xx FIRM. 73.
For some of us though, 10 or 20 dollars is more than just pocket change as you suggest

KD8MAA is a "pot" calling the kettle black. He has a history on QTH.com of deception thats why he displays a receipt not a station photo or pic of his ugly self on QRZ.COM. I work 4 days a week and was gone from friday until monday night when I did the deal with him. I came home and read his negative and nasty emails about my person. I would have gladly gotten his 150 bucks back if it was not for the way he went about it. For that fact I would have used the money for toilet paper before I gave it back and the fact that i worked several friends around the world on the rig before sending it. Just look at my QRZ page "does it really look like I need the 150.?" The card I hold in my hand from P5 North Korea is worth more then that. I have won and placed in many contests and am well known in the Dx community and I will be at the DX dinner in May at the Dayton hamvention and the dx and contest forums so PLEASE LOOK ME UP!! I will be happy to settle this in person!!

I agree, PayPal is the only way to go. BUT the statement of "first refusal" should have been honored no matter how he was to be paid.

Ahhhhhhhhh........ Lesson learned Roy. He will never own up to what he sold you or anyone else. Just chalk it up to experience and do as the other SIX posters said. Don't do business with him. Of course what do I know....as he has stated, I'm just an idiot. Well, God takes care of His own. John Williams will get his....one day. It may be as the book of Revelations takes place, or may be even today....who knows....but, he will get what he deserves........
