I need to add my voice concerning the poor service I also received with Yaesu service. I purchased a Yaesu rotator last fall and had a problem with it and ended up sending it to the service facility in California, that was October 2000. I had only used it for about a month when I began having problems. I was told that the turn around time for repairs was about 4-6 weeks. After 2 months I started calling, emailing etc to get word about my unit. I finally got the customer service rep and he said that they didn't find anything wrong and would ship it back to me. That was January 2001. After a few weeks I called again and was told that on further examination they had found a problem and were working on it. After I few more weeks I called again and was told that that they were waiting on parts. After a few more weeks I called again and was told that they didn't have the right tools to work on the unit and they were on order. After all this run around I finally wrote to the President of the Company, not in Japan but the CEO in California. I never got a reply but my unit miraculously appeared in 2 weeks - still had the same problem! Next time I will buy something else.
