UPDATE: I have downloaded a linux cdrom that boots to the cd it had 2 mp3's of morse code in rythem like music one with words and one with out(only has the a through z) but it seems to be working better then those boring arrl cd's I hope in a few weeks I can remember a-z and the rest will come naturally.I listen to them on a mp3 player through out the day and at nite when I go to bed I have picked up more letters other then what I already know such as z,b,d,c 4 letters in a week I dont think is bad ... is it?
Anyone know of or have the musical morse code cd that can put it up for download? email me
THANKS ALL for the tips and advice hopefully will see and talk to ya on HF
Thanks

7  eHam Forums / CW / Morse Code HELP on: January 06, 2006, 04:49:50 PM
I have been trying to learn the code now for 2 years only to fail to comprehend dits/dahs to letters I know e,i,s,h,t,m,o,a,n and thats it if I couldpass the test knowing those I would be a morse code speed wiz.I tried to sleep listening to the code(mental learning while sleeping)only to wake in the am with a headache, morse code tutor, cdroms, pen paper, visual chart.......etc.........It seems like I ll be a tech forever. If I cannot learn the code I ll just hang up the ticket and not renew it 2m repeater work is no fun anymore and most repeater ops dislike new call signs on their repeater.
What I am asking is there a way to break this learning disibility? learning by sound is not really my game I learn FASTER by reading and doing.

THANKS in ADVANCE

8  eHam Forums / Mods And Repairs / BroadBanding a Yaesu FT-757GX? on: October 12, 2004, 12:03:35 PM
WOW I didnt know it was a crime to ask...LOL some of us just cannot run to AES or another ham outlet and fork over 1 to 2500.00 USD just to get a rig that transmits on MARS freq's.I have been to that site and havent found anything that helps what they say to look for doesnt exist in my rig and if it did it would open up the power to 100 watts on all bands, freq's ssb,am,fm and that I DONT want 5 to 10 watts is fine by me.......I dont need 100 watts 5 watts is better anyway......

THANKS
