It was there on the left side yesterday.  Today it's not.

OK, my OS is Windows XP, using Internet Explorer. When I go to http://www.eham.net/, I always remain logged in. Then, clicking on the word Forums on the left hand bar, I go to the forums, but am logged out! From the forums page, I log back in which sends me back to eHam.net, but clicking on Forums this time I remain logged in. Close IE and repeat the whole process.

This is exactly the issue I am having.  IE7 and XP here.

Nope, just tried again.  I was logged in but when I went to forums it said I wasn't.  I logged in again to get here.

Can you try logging out before logging in the second time?

Also, what URL are you going to to log in?

That seems to have stuck...interesting.  I'm using the "Login" link on the top right in the green band.  Tnx for working on this.  73

I think we have solved the login issues.   I will stress the word 'think' please let us know your experiences.

Thanks

Qell, I was still logged in when i hit the sit ethis AM, but when I clicked on "Forums" down the left side I was suddenly logged out and had to log in again.  It doesn't matter whether I was logged in uppercase or lowercase.  If this can be fixed great, if not, it's a small niggle.

It posts, but I get this:

Database error: cannot use database
MySQL Error: 1046 (No database selected)
Session halted.

And I got a database error posting the previous post.

I've noticed that I have to log in each time I come to the site.  I was wondering why there were no new forum posts upon my second visit and it was because I was not logged in.  That's new behavior I have not seen before...ie. having to actually log in each visit.
Otherwise, I think it will help me zero in on new posts in a much easier way.  Thanks for all the work on it.

Maybe she needs to be asked why she installed a radio receiver instead of a ceiling fan if what she wanted was a ceiling fan.

I was using Win-EQF but since EQF software is retiring I have switched to Prolog 2K...very comprehensive QSL tracking.

Looks good.  But I hope that won't be the website address when it goes into production.  www.eham.net I can access from work.  When I tried to access seattle.eham.net from work they had it blocked...thei standard "blocked" message came up...they are obviously mis-informed about what it is but that does me no good.  I probably wouldn't be allowed www.eham.net either if they knew it wasn't work related.
Thanks to the mods for their hard work.
