361  eHam Forums / Misc / Re-banding by the FCC ? on: October 21, 2011, 12:12:28 PM
( Re-banding in the future .It looks like it's coming. How will it effect you and your equipment?
362  eHam Forums / QRP / RE: Ten-Tec is coming out with a new QRP radio on: October 20, 2011, 07:37:24 AM
Will "probably"  sell for less than $1000.  Roll Eyes
I think it depends on the radio and its price point, we know the front end is coming from the Ten-Tec Eagle and the price needs to be lower than the Elcraft orp rig.
363  eHam Forums / QRP / RE: What's best for QRP CW? on: October 19, 2011, 03:29:45 PM
These are fairly light weight and rugged, and reasonably priced: http://www.americanmorse.com/
I love the bush whacker and mine B sideswiper paddles.

367  eHam Forums / QRP / RE: What's in a color? on: October 13, 2011, 01:29:17 PM
Why not just a neoprene band with velcro fasteners,in your color with your call sign on it. Or a larger wrap that can protect your radio at field day ,where your radios could take serious beating. If you want to start a business making them, check with  seat cover makers like,www.caltrend.com don't forget to market on this site

RWJ:  In all my 55 years of hamming I have NEVER heard this question asked!  Man, I just gotta know.  Why would you ask this question?  It's about as stupid as asking what color suit to buy, or color car to buy....whatever.

It is also stupid because you didn't provide the color of your wall paper or desk....rather you're using incandescent or fluorescent lighting..... the color of your eyes..... nothing.  I'm sure you know that some colors simply clash with other pieces of equipment you own so that would also narrow down the choices.

You must provide more information in order for us to help you.
This is a QRP rig for use out door.
369  eHam Forums / QRP / You Name it ? on: October 10, 2011, 10:02:35 AM
If your marketing a new qrp kit, what name would you choose for it?
370  eHam Forums / QRP / RE: What's in a color? on: October 10, 2011, 09:55:40 AM
If could choose the color or colors  ( two tone ) of your new QRP rig, what would you choose ?

I'm not aware of any QRP product where you "have a choice of colors!"  However, if you're building one and are going to paint the cabinet, then your choices are somewhat restricted by the color of the labels available to you.  There's nothing worse than having to squint to see what your control labels say!
K8AXWE,if you could have a color, what would you want?

374  eHam Forums / QRP / RE: Ten-Tec is coming out with a new QRP radio on: October 03, 2011, 03:02:46 PM
You need to check outwww.QRPer.com for the latest info from Ten-Tec on this QRP rig!
375  eHam Forums / Station Building / RE: Which rig? on: September 30, 2011, 02:23:45 PM
The Ten Tec Eagle costs about the same as the TS590 and puts up the good numbers on all bands, not just the ones where it does downcoversion.  I think you can get a narrower roofing filter for it as well.

73s John AA5JG
I agree with the Ten-Tec Eagle.
