16  eHam Forums / Mods And Repairs / Sangean 909 crippled ? on: October 27, 2007, 10:12:19 AM
Hi,

I have found the following site, if gives details of altering the coverage of the Sangean by means of moving diodes.

Details of restoring SSB is not covered but there could be clues, when you examine the PCB.

Check out the following company, they do a nice broadbanded VCO module at a reasonable rate.

http://www.spectrumcomms.co.uk/

The usual disclaimer I have no connection with the company etc.

Sorry should have said MOST of the diagrams are in PDF format.

First.

Check out the following page, scroll down until you hit the PCB type that you want.

http://tinyurl.com/2mcnoe

The diagrams are in PDF format, and will expand to a reasonable size very easily.

Second.

NEVER NEVER mention anything to do with CB on this site, as you will get the full wrath of the righteous descending on you.

73 Good luck with your repair,

Just don't "kill" the screw core in the VCO block.

Dont worry about it, I have had my ticket since 1987 and I still get questioned when my callsign has failed to appear on some database or other.

What a big fuss !!!

Nothing terrible happened when the UK dropped the CW requirement, no darkening of the skys, no demons riding the lands etc.

Welcome to the rest of the World.
