I am looking for an rf amplifier in the 600-800 watt SSB output range. I am hesitant about some of the older models. I wonder if simply buying a new Ameritron 811 unit would give me the best "bang for the buck". I like the Ten-Tec Centaur and possible the older Dentrons ( I have a Dentron MT-2000A tuner). I want to be able to use 572's or 811's due to reasonable replacement costs. I would appreciare suggestions. I own a Ameritron 4-572 amp but this is too much power for a rental townhouse. I do not know if I can run this unit at 600 watts as it's designed for 1300. Thanks
