Hello,I am thinking of buying a sony vaio notebook(grx3570) it has the new mobile pentium4 processer,512,30gig,1.6 and a16.1 inch screan.Does anyone have a sony or give me some advice or an opinion on these notebooks,they are new(just out).Microwarehouse has it on sale for 2499 plus shipping.Circuit city 2499 plus tax.The extra warranty is200 for 3 years.Any help or advice would be appreciated!! THANK YOU FOR THE ADVICE,IT IS NOT A SWITCHING POWER SUPPLY. I HAVE GROUNDED TO EARTH 15 FOOT 1 INCH COOPPER PIPE ,5 FOOT  GROUNDING STRAP. I DID ALL TESTS TO MAKE SURE IT IS THE POWER SUPPLY. IT STARTS AT .3KILOHERZ  TO 5 MEGA HERZ. ON ANY RECIEVER. THANK YOU FOR THE HELP. I WILL PROBALY JUST GET A NEW ONE.

I HAVE PULSE/STATIC NOISE ON 80 160 ON MY RS-35M
ASTRON POWER SUPPLY.THE SUPPLY IS A LITTLE OVER A YEAR OLD.THE NOISE STOPS WITH NOISE BLANKER ON.BUT IT IS A PAIN WITH MY 746ICOM WHEN SIGNALS ARE STRONG I GET DISTORTION(BLANKER ON) IT IS DEFINATELY THE ASTRON.I TRIED ANOTHER RECIEVER WITH NO NOISE,TURN THE SUPPLY ON AND THAT RECIEVER MAKES THE SAME NOISE. GOT A BAD POWER SUPPLY,BUT CAN I FIX IT.IS IT THE CAPACITORS IN THE BRIDGE CIRCUIT? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!

Thank you for the info on the matchbox and manuel,there was one sheet of paper in the box(may have been opened and resealed with the same piece of tape).It says operatingf instructions Johnson Directional Coupler And Directional Coupler Indicator cat. no 250-37 and 250-38.The tuner says 250-23 on the back.it has the meters and coupler.The paper many talks about the coupler and all the measurements that can be done with the coupler,reactance,swr,inductance,radiation resistance of an unbalanced antenna,etc.Also alot of formulas.Pretty technical compared to today standards(manuels of today) 73 matt kb3drf   thank you again!!
