I should say I am only looking to a reciever at this time. But, if there is a good transceiver for a starter, then I would consider it as well if not too costly.
New to SW. I want to buy a starter radio, but something good as well. Portable, if possible, but if I can't get what I want in a portable, I will get a desktop unit.
I mainly am interested in Ham broadcasts, and yes, I want to hear Art Bell on 80 meter!
So, can anyone suggest what I should buy? Please suggest a desktop and a portable unit.
