If you want a schematic for the Kantronic 3 Plus email me.
If you find the PTT transistor DO NOT USE A RADIO SHACK REPLACEMENT I did and they do not work, get the proper transistor
35  eHam Forums / Mobile Ham / RE: Got car back from garage, now it's an RFI mess on: March 03, 2010, 03:55:48 AM
try grounding the tail pipe first. I have cut a low of problems this way
36  eHam Forums / Elmers / RE: Silly question on: December 09, 2009, 11:41:06 AM
You should be reading 0Vac not 60Vac
At your service panel their should be a ground to netural bond.

You may want to get a Electriction on site to check out your wiring
37  eHam Forums / Elmers / AT&T UVerse and RFI on: November 22, 2009, 03:31:10 AM
I have had AT&T U-Verse for over 1.5 years with no problems. The RG and 7 computers and 2 D-Link 10,100,1000 switches sit in the shack.
I set-up the RG to run on a Cat-5 systemn to all the STB

38  eHam Forums / Elmers / Kenwood RC-2000 Help on: November 15, 2009, 04:04:28 AM
I tried your sujection with no luck, I am ordering a replace PCA for the remote head.
$90.00 is a lit better than $350.00 for the kit

39  eHam Forums / Elmers / Kenwood RC-2000 Help on: November 13, 2009, 08:05:59 AM
I have a TS-B2000 in the model and my RC-2000 has died
This is the 2nd one that has the same problem over the last 5 years
replace the 1st one

On the RC-2000 if you press the power on bottom the display lights up you can hear the power relay in the TC-B2000 click, then the display goes out
I can press the power on button on the TS-B2000 and everything works

I have gone as far as connecting the RC-2000 to my other TS-2000 with the same results even used a different interconnect cable

Any idea?

Also I am looking for the RC-2000 service manual and schematic

50C Main BAnd AF output level for Packet 3
50D Subband AF Output Level for Packet 4
50E Main Sub Band Externam TNC = Main
Also make sure the program is using USB ACDIO CODEC

using the above I have no problems with the Signalink

In my set-up, I have 2 370wpc batteries, each battery postive is fused for 30 amps.
I have a diode in series with the Postive along with a 30amp fuse from the power supply the battery.
the float voltage for by batteries are 13.65vdc.

I adjusted the power supply for 13.65 + .7vdc

All my equipment is connected to the batteries

44  eHam Forums / Elmers / shack tuner vs. remote tuner at antenna on: August 26, 2009, 05:33:45 AM
I installed a G5RV jr. using a shack tunner I could only tune 20 & 40 meters.
I did a lot of research and found that you can still have a high SWR at the antenna but a 1:1 match at the radio when using a shack tuner feeding coax to a balaum to ladder line
I removed the balaum and installed a SGC ATU. It made a world of differance.
the ATU tunned the ladder line for the proper Z for a 1:1 SWR while maintain 50 ohns to the rig.

Just my 2 cents

The problem with the USB to RS232 converters is they do not goto logic 1 5Vdc most of them goto 3.5 - 4Vdc
we use RS232 with our UPS systems to et them up and after doing a lot of trial and error we found that Iconsepts 10260 does the best.

just my 2 cents
