I have 2 UPS12-270FR batteries in parallel providing 150AH. I go from my power supply via a blocking diode to the batteries. I then go to me Power pole term block witch feed the shack equipment I set the power supply for 13.60Vdc (2.67Vpc)with no load. Been running like this for years, a set of batteries last around 6 years

I like the TS-2000 for digital modes, You connect your audionand keying to the ACC-2 jack, use the menu to set the audio levels and off you go. the TS-2000 even has a PSK-31 filter setting
Plus the radio will do 160 - 6M and 2M & 440 so you an play digital on one side and 2M & 440 on the other at the same time. The Main side can be used for 2M & 440 also
Just my 2 cents

If you can not find the drivers, try running the program in XP compatibility mode and use the XP drivers, I wound not DOWNGRADE to XP. I have Vista running on 4 computers with no problems, I have 2 programs that I run in the XP compatibility mode and they work great

I have a 40M dipole feed with 450 Ohm ladder line to a AGC ATU in the atic. I can tune the dipole from 80 - 10 with a 1:1 - 1.15 across the band. doing this way I tune the antenna for the correct match and not the coax

I am running MS Vista on all my computers and have not had any problems. I also have computers that can handle it. that is the bigest problem people have.
I have 2 or 3 programs that I am running under the XP capable mode and now they run with no problems.
I have not ran Win-EQF so I have no idea how it would run

You may want to do what I did, I had a G5RV Jr out side and tunning at the rig, It was OK at best, I did some research and found that if I ran the Ladder line to a ATU then I would be tunning the Antenna and not the coax. I install a SGC 239 STU at the ladder line and the performace differance was like day & Night
Just a though

Are you looking at HF 2M 70CM? The Kenwood makes a real nice all mode HF, VHF (100 watts) and UHF(50 watts) in a nice small package
for the power disconnect use the 30Amp Power Poles

I want to thank you all for your response. Sorry for the response delay I have not been ablt to get back to eham to look at your responses.
I have never worked with loops before so your inputs added to my knowledge.
I think to only way I could put up an 80M loop would be a rectangle, the vertical sections 50Ft and the top & Bottom making up the difference. It will all depend on the vertical heigth I have when I start putting it up.
Since I hardly use 80M, I might just make a 40M loop
Witch ever the bottom will by approx 24 -30 ft up
again THank you

I have a SCG 239 in the attic feeding my dipole with ladder line, big differance then using a balum to coax and using a tuner at the rig.
When using a tuner at the rig with coax to a balum all you are doing is tunning the coax for 50 ohm, not tha antenns
My 2 cents

I am looking at redoing my dipole. Right not its approx 35ft up and 75Ft long, feed with ladder line to a SGC239 ATU.
I am looking at replaceing it with a 50ft X 50ft X 50ft X 50ft vertical loop corner feed with about 30ft of ladder line to a SGC239 ATU.
and comments on how it should operation

Befor I got my SGC ATU I did some research on tuners in the shack and external tuners. WHat I found out is when using a tuner in the shack weather internal or external to coax all you are doing is tunning the coax for a good match. But when using a external tuner at the antenna you are now tunning the antenna. I put up a G5RV and with the internal tuner it was not so hot, after I connected the external tuner to the antenna the differance was day and night

I have a dipole utside with ladder line to a SGC STU in the atic, then coax and DC power running down to the shack. This way I tune the antenna and not the coax as you do with coax to the antenna and the tunner by the rig
just my 2 cents
