I'm in the market for an amplifier and, of course, I want the most bang for the buck. I saw one of these amps for sale a while back and when I checked it out on Rig-Pix, they said it uses " 4x D-50A ".
I give up. Are these tubes or what? I haven't been able to find out any info on these D-50A things and being a curious fellow, it's killing me.
Thanks in adavance....Mike

19  eHam Forums / Boat Anchors / SB-600 Question on: July 17, 2007, 02:01:21 PM
I've been looking for an SB-600 for quite a while with no luck, so here goes.
Is there some sort of crossover in an SB-600 or is it just a 6x9 speaker enclosed in a green cabinet that says HEATHKIT on the front. If I can't buy one, I am going to do my best to build one..Thanks in advance for the info........Mike.......
20  eHam Forums / Elmers / Telex Model 750 HL Desk Microphone on: April 22, 2007, 05:53:32 AM
I picked up a couple of old desk mic's at a recent Hamfest and can't find any info on them. I know the company makes aviation headsets but that's all I can find out. Just wondered if anyone knew anything about this mic. It looks similar to a non-amplified Turner desk mic. Thanks for your help..Mike...KE5EKO
21  eHam Forums / Mobile Ham / Yeasu FT-2800 Good/Bad/?? on: January 17, 2006, 02:29:12 PM
Thanks to KC5AV for the info on the 2800...

To all others than resonded.....

I have a HF radio that I monitor everday. I have passed Element 3 and am working dilligently on the code as I type this.
I am moving to an area that has no VHF/UHF activity except 2 meters, so that is my reasoning behind purchasing a 2 meter radio.  Plus I have never owned a NEW radio and I thought it was about time.

Again, thanks to all that responded. Hopefully I'll have the opportunity to talk with y'all on HF very soon. 73......Mike
