1  eHam Forums / Computers And Software / PDA style radio control software on: March 07, 2002, 05:35:56 PM
Maybe I'm dreaming about the capabilities of PDA's, whether they are of the Palm or Windows CE OS flavor, but it would be nice to have radio control software available for these devices. In particular, I'm thinking of a mobile application where the radio is inaccessible (in the trunk), but operating, and a certain minimum amount of control is necessary (even while driving at 75 MPH in rush hour). Is there a possibility of seeing this? I know, I'm probably dreaming....  Would anyone else like to see this available?  Thanks.
2  eHam Forums / Computers And Software / Icom R-75 Control on: January 14, 2002, 10:31:54 AM
The Icom CI-V Level Converter works well with the IC-706 with existing software.  As an owner of both a CI-V and a 706, I'm pleased about that, but am wondering about the R-75.  As Icom sells a R-75 software control package which bypasses the CI-V, it appears that interest may not be there for a CI-V / R-75 program.
Documentation for the CI-V interface in the R-75 manual is excellent.  Does anyone have such software or have an interest in seeing this?
Thanks,
3  eHam Forums / Elmers / Cassette Player Repair on: January 05, 2002, 07:14:22 PM
Presently I have two cassette player devices in need of repair, both of which I'm told will cost probably 70% as much to repair as to replace with new(!).  Has anyone seen any web sites that give instructions for typical repairs?  Mine give a rattling sound, as if the motor works, but the belt has gone. ...One is a Sony, and the other a Radio Shack, but neither are "boat anchors" (yet).  Thanks for any suggestions.
73's to all Elmers who respond!
