eHam Forums / Elmers / Retransmitting IC-756PRO Digital Voice recording

Getting back to my original question, the 756PRO allows you to record the other guys audio off of the air and the European model allows you to retransmit the recorded off the air audio but the US model does not. My question is, is there a mod that will allow the US model to behave like the European model and retransmit the off the air recording?

Bill, I can store a local CQ message and transmit it OK but I want to be able retransmit a message that I saved off of the air. For instance, I can save 15 seconds of the other guys audio but I can't send it back to him so that he can hear what he sounds like. Are you able to do this?

eHam Forums / Elmers / How does an FT-100 know that there is a FC-20 conn

I did that and that is what I meant when I said that TUNER was specified in the menu. With TUNER specified, the rig still needs to recognize that an FC-20 is physically attached because if it doesn't, the TUN button is disabled so I still need to know how the FC-20 identifies itself to the rig (probably through the DATA cable).

How can I make an FT-100D think that there is an FC-20 tuner connected when there is really an SGC-237 out there? TUNER is specified in the menu but the TUN Button still won't work. I would like to be able to press TUN on the FT-100 and have the rig xmit a reduced power carrier which will cause the 237 to tune if the SWR is high. When the tuning is complete, I would press TUN again to end the operation. I need to know how the FT-100 identifies the fact that there is an FC-20 plugged into the coax and into the DATA connector. HELP!

Seeing as how I haven't kept a log in the last 20 - 30 years, I have no idea what software is currently available. I would like to have a log program that would operate in either a PALM OS or Windows CE environment so that I can keep track of my contacts while operating mobile. Does anyone have an ideas?
