I am also looking for autopatch software, I am aware of echostation but it will not run at the same time as echolink.. I have a echolink node here at my QTH and we would like to have a autopatch.

I cant write software but should be able to get the modem to talk with the mic/speaker and recognize DTMF, would this be hard software to create?

Looking for Autopatch software only, dont need all bells and whistles of Echostation.

I have the radio mentioned and it seems the finals are blown, they blew once before but I had it fixed under warranty. The last time they blew, I couldnt get much more than 100' on simplex. This time I can still trip a repeater from about a mile or 2. I dont know much about it but apparently there is pre-amps and finals. Does this sound more like pre-amps blown? If anyone has experience with this problem with this radio please help!

It has a nice large magnet and seems high quality. I was wondering if I cut the antenna down if it would maybe work.

I know I can go buy one for 50$ but hey, I like the homebrew style if I can do it!

Can this be done? has anyone done this? Just curious. If it is possible I have lots of old antennas I could convert one over for my 2m

I recenty recieved an adaptor of this type and it does not seem to work. The male pin on the adaptor I dont think is reaching the contact in the radio. Has anyone else encountered this problem? It is a chrome colored connector with no markings. Does anyone know of another brand to try?
