I have a Kenwood V7A that displays aaaaaaa with a subset of dots on the screen and does not transmit.  I tried a VFO reset, same problem. In the past I have done a complete reset and had to reload everything.  I see others on this board have had this problem but I haven't seen and explanation of the cause or a different/easier solution.  Any information would be appreciated.
