Thanks for all the help. I was talking with Roger @ tarheel, and I think I am going to pick up a breed love ball mount. If you are in the the Phila area in the next few weeks, and smell burning paint, I am drilling the hole! 73

Thanks for the info, I did check it at 20 meters, and it was reading 16 to 1 ,so that's when I realized there was an issue. I was under the impression that the pipe secured to the spare tire mount. I know grounding can be very tricky

I have also had great service from LDG. I sent them an older z-100 for repairs. In fact, when I got it back, I went out and bought a new 100 for the shack. THey do it the way it should be done.

I recently bought an old Alinco Dx-70 , and much to my chagrin, cannot find an EDS-6 separation cable. Has anyone had any luck homebrewing one, or have one for sale? thanks TJ N3ujx

Hi all, I have been looking for a belt clip for a recently bought used Icom T7H. Does anymore know the stock number, or a retailer that sells them? I have found many clips on the internet, but not sure if it fits the radio. Thanks TJ

that radio and connector looks very similar to the Uniden hr 2510/2600 microphone connector. I am wondering if a CB radio mic might work. I also know that Buxcomm carries many different types of replacement microphones.

Good idea! I am going to experimenting with a remote ptt on my shifter. It is a manual trans, and I have my hand on the shifter 50-60% of the time anyway. I will keep you posted.I'm thinking a small velcro loop to attach to my shifting hand. I will be careful, and try in the driveway before going mobile.

I agree with the posts on this topic. Like any group you will get some bad apples, but just go with the flow. It might be a good idea to borrow or buy an inexpensive scanner to listen to the local UHF/Vhf repeaters in your area. you would need a Shortwave radio to listen to the HF bands. Get in contact with a local club that can be found on the arrl.org website, and join the fun! TJ
