Hi all I need to buy a tuner for a ampl AL80B that I ma going to run with a G5RV I want to go auto so would like to hear which of this two tuner would be better option thanks.

I am thinking to buy a AL80B to be use with a G5RV I would like to know what tuner people recommend  for it. I thought the LGD 1000 would e a nice option welcome comments

Does anybody knows if the kenwood, 590 is MARS mod friendly?

That I laready know I want to hear people that are actully using the radio in this freq,

how good is K3 for MARS

typically how much are the tubes for the AL80B

so is there a lot of problem with the tubes 572

I ma thinking to get a ampli ameritron and my options are AL80B or Al572 price wise they are similar so any comments on which one would be highly appreciated

my antennas are a 10 meter 5 elm yagi and a G5RV for right now

when it came to RX did you like the 7600 better than the K3?

I I am considering to buy a new radio I ma between K3 and IC 7600, I am going to be doinng mostly SSB some PSK31 and MARS, also I love 10 meter band when opens . any comments, which option would be better for the money?

 I am getting confused thsi dys with the topic of which receiver will be beter , doble triple or so on, seems likenew radios liek Ic 7600 are doble convertions and older radior from Icom were triple so I dont get it why if triple is suppose to be bettter they went back to double

well I talk to the service dep at Icom america. they said they used to but not anymore. so I think I talked to the right person, I am not sure what other Gov are but that what it said. it said if you email me o r fax me your lincensed after they check it out they'll mail me how to do it but they wont do teh service anymore. if you know somenes that has it done recently let me know because this is what came straight from the big guys

Hi all I just talked to Icom amrica and they said they would mail you how to do it(which you already find online) but they wont do it. they said they do other goverment mod but not MARS you go figuere

I dont think he is the only one I ma in the smae situation, I wnat to purchase a new HT no dealer wnats to modified for me , I have mod the big radios before but the HT are to hard when you dont have the right equipament. so I think speacially with the new radios and technology is getting hard to do it yourself. something needs to be done or MARS new member wont be able to to do much anymore
