Other than the "N" I loved my original callsign and still do!

My old "N" call was not to great, WN4ZFX, the systematic replacement, WB4ZFX, wasn't a lot better. But at that point no such thing as vanity calls. Moved west and got KF7CG- King Fredrich's 7th Coast Guard for fun - sometimes it is hard to get the phonetics for CG through in rough or crowded conditions, then Coast Guard generally works. Oh by the way, KF7CG is systematically assigned call also.

No. Hated it. Took the Tech in February of 1994 and waited 13 weeks for the license to arrive only to discover that the FCC had issued me N2YQM. Yuck! Proceeded to get a "vanity" as K2DVS, which I held for several years. When I passed the Extra they issued me a new sequential call that I like: AC2NZ. "Accidently Created 2 Numbskull Zombies" - what's not to like?  Grin

Disliked KG5EJU from the first day I received it, and more so on the first day I keyed it in CW.

Luckily, I just got my vanity approved; W5SRT.

I like that.

When I was first licensed, my thought was "It'll do."  It's since grown on me.  I've been tempted to apply for N4LGR, but I mostly work phone, and "november four lima golf romeo" isn't much shorter than "kilo kilo four lima golf romeo" to say.  If I worked CW a lot, maybe.
