Yay!  HF time for you

Once you get on HF, you'll find you will want access to the whole enchilada.  Only difference between the general and extra's operating privileges is the extra gets exclusive subbands on many of the HF ham bands.   Some rare HF DX stations hang out in extra territory.  So start working on your extra.   Wink

Kudos to you !  I know that when I passed my general a few years ago I was a real happy camper. Good luck with your future. 73  Jim. W5JJG

Good to hear and congratulations. You'll have a lot of interesting modes to check out on HF including CW, digital, etc. Depending on how you operate you may not need any more upgrades.

Thanks guys!!!  Grin

Yes, I plan on going after Extra next.  I went ahead and took the Extra test just for the heck of it... mostly just to see what was on it.  I told the VE to have a fresh red pen available for grading that one! LOL

I didn't pass it, but it gave me an idea of the type of questions.

There was one guy sitting down from me that took the Extra... he didn't miss any!!!  The VE's were saying that it is really rare to get a perfect Extra.  They asked him what he did for a living and he stated "an electrical engineer"... figures!!!  Roll Eyes
