is it true, that icomamerica HAS discontinued DL of their CI-V software control???

In about 30 seconds, you could have found the answer on Google by entering three words in the search window: icom ci-v download

And then going to the link provided:

That page will allow you to download the manual and the software.

Although that day might not be too far off in the future. Except for the entry-level IC-718, all other models of HF rigs have USB ports for audio in/out and CI-V access. While Icom has just added more rigs to their discontinued list, the IC-718 has been a rock solid performer for them but eventually, one day, it will reach end of life. Although I am not any sort of Icom "insider", I feel confident in saying that whatever replaces it will have a USB port.
