I've noticed a pretty consistent high-speed RTTY sounding signal, quite constant on 3.783.5  Any idea what it is?  I hear it every night.

Chuck,

It is probably an old LORAN transmitter near your location. They are all scheduled for deactivation by July 2008.

I and a few friends are there on most evenings. The RTTY sig has been there for years. We beleve it originates in the southern part of the US. By the way, it's not in the DX window.

dont think its RTTY i tried every mode that MixW2.16 has and none of them are wide enuff to decode it

anyone have a idea what it is

have heard it for years would love to know
