This thread was started by myself wanting to find answers to transgressions committed on the air by ones self and to apply a resolution to that violation. That mission had been accomplished. I've noted that the thread seems to have taken a turn away from the subject. So If ya'all like, for my further education as a new ham, I can start a new topic, "Yesteryear to present on air notable changes" or something like that.

So I want to say Thanks! for the many replies. I believe my question has been answered and the general attitude towards this transgression has been expressed. Your inputs are greatly appreciated and has been very educational. QSL

On your next question try to incorporate how to post a picture . There should be a magical transfer button not having to jump through 10 different websites to get your picture posted.Good luck on your ham hobby. Everyone have a joyous and blessed day. Trying to make ham radio like operating heavy machinery.73$$$....... OVER AND OUT..

LOL. And if you want to see a Dead Horse Beater in action, mention the FT-450 in a positive way and voila, there he is!

Glad that HAG has joined our ranks and allowed us to enjoy a bit of humor.

Amateur Radio has turned into CB Radio.

I keep reading this here on eHam...think I'll just keep the mic in the drawer and stay 100% CW.

CBers don't hang out on data modes, nor do they work weak-signal VHF/UHF.  Wink

Yep the only microwaves CBers ever used legally were microwave ovens!

Ok I will take your dare.  I think the FT450 is not a bad transceiver, and it has a lot of features and capabilities for the money. It makes a good portable rig, a good backup rig or a good main rig for a new ham.  So there!.  Smiley

Also welcome HAG, we are glad you have joined our bunch...

How does a -450 stack up against an IC-718? I've used the latter and both are roughly in the same price tier.

The word on the street is that the winter glue is the most potent.   Cheesy
