Does RHC still have a show dedicated to SWL's?

Good Question. I do hope that Arnie Coco still does his DXers Unlimited show. His broadcasts were always fun and informative. I try to catch it on RHC on weekend afternoons, but have not come across it lately:

It's Arnie Coro...not Coco. Arnie was a jungle rat in Castro's guerilla inner circle during the revolution and considered a hero in Cuba. He's actually a very nice guy and his show is very informative. From my perspective, it's the only reason I would listen to RHC because he doesn't insert any politics into the program.

Actually Ernie tried the political spout once after he talked ham radio. It didn't go well.

He just can't talk down at folks. That's not Ernie and I think the higher-ups realized it.

On 17 meter phone at 2200UTC. Join me won't you.

He was an active ham. I worked him on CW a bunch of years ago. I knew who I was talking to and he was very cordial.

That's Arnie....Ernie was Bert's buddy...... Shocked Shocked Shocked Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Grin Grin Grin Grin.....At any rate, I worked Arnie a long time ago too....and yes, he's the only reason, other than good salsa music, that I would listen to RHC...maybe for a good laugh, I would listen to their political commentary and (fake) news... Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue........I am surprised they are still on the actual radio air (see my voice of greece thread), with everyone abandoning shortwave transmissions these days....

Yes - Arnie Coro / CO2KK/ is the only reason that I do - occasionally- listen to RHC.  He's is likely their best ambassador to the world. I especially enjoy his programs about how Cuban amateurs got on the air, using what materials they had available, using knowledge of electronics - usually self taught - and 'scrap' components found in old power supplies, and former Soviet TV sets and ingenuity: positively brilliant! Solving problems with brains , rather than with the credit card used to be the mark of a true radio amateur.

As for Cuban salsa music - a definite PLUS!

73 de Ray/ W7ASA  ..._  ._

Ps. I have even listened to RHC using my one triode (#30) regenerative receiver, all the way from Idaho - USA!
