I am planning on flying into Alliance NE for the solar eclipse that is about to take place. I plan on being air mobile.

I have a question from the community about how best to plan. I get the feeling in my gut that Alliance NE is under prepared for the onslaught of people that are about to descend on their community.

So I'm planning on having my HT with me. I am having difficulty finding good information about repeaters that are available or if their is a state wide net.

Also, if there are any suggestions on what to plan & pack are much appreciated.

I think this is going to be a situation whereby my amateur radio license is going to be of great use.

Thanks.

Be aware that with the eclipse, the horizon can fool a pilot. Pay attention!

So how was the ecipse?

My wife and I went to Charleston. 'Tis eerie the noontime sun disappears and it's dark. And during totality, one can look to the horizon and see light.
