My understanding is that when the charger shows green, it basically stops charging. For those familiar with this charger, what I'd like to know, is if that is correct, can I leave the radio in the charger full time, without worry of damaging the batteries/radio?

It took me while to unearth the instructions for my CD-41, but here's what it says.

Step 4 of the instructions states: When charging is complete, the Red 'CHARGING' indicatorwill disappear and the Green 'FULL' will glow.  Disconnect the pack from the CD-41, and unplug the SAD-11B, PA-48B, PA-48C or PA-48U from the AC line outlet."

Based on that statement, I would say the answer to your question is "No, you can't leave the charger hooked up once the battery is charged."  I use my CD-41 as a holder for my radio, but I don't leave it connected to the AC outlet.
