FT-847 or FT-991A

I work SSB on 2 meters & 70cm. I own a FT-847. I do not use it on HF as I have a far better HF radio. Is it worth replacing the FT-847 with a FT-991A?

I would say "Should be"
The 847 is an old design.
Shame the Icom 9700 is still under wraps as I think it should be a cracking radio without any waste on HF /6/4
IMHO the only "Shack in a box" radio that is not a compromise is the Icom 9100

One key difference is that the FT-847 can do full duplex on VHF/UHF, which is very helpful for operating on satellites!  Most rigs including the FT-991/A cannot do full duplex.

Ha, sold my FT-847 within a few hours last night. Will order the FT-991A this Monday.
