In a Kenwood TL-922 are the tubes secure?  Are they secured with snap locking rings or any other kind of positive securing devices other than where they are seated into the ceramic sockets.

Pin retention at the socket is all that holds them in.

Don't try to operate one upside-down.

Not wise to ship one with tubes installed.

    No, they're paranoid as all get out that somebody will overload them!
