I have a QSYer and a CT-17 interface cable. I would like to be able to leave them both connected to the back of the radio through a y-cable or splitter. Would one interfere with the other? If so, how would I go about isolating the two different inputs? Would a couple of small signal diodes work?

The Icom CI-V bus is specifically designed to support multiple devices. A Y-cable or parallel connectors will work fine.
